If you can’t make it to Disney World this holiday season, then let Disney come to you! Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream, a brand-new ice spectacular featuring scenes from your favorite Disney princess tales, including Tangled, The Princess and the Frog and Cinderella.

Some of your family’s most beloved fairytales will come to life on ice at Raleigh’s RBC Center from Dec. 7th to 11th. Get ready for laughs, as Rapunzel embarks on her hilarious journey, break out some dance moves to the upbeat boogie music with Princess Tianna and Prince Naveen, and find the inspiration for dreams with Cinderella’s story of a glass slipper fit for a fantasy come true.

This is a wonderful family event that will make you feel as if you’re within the enchanted walls of Disney, without having to travel the distance. Your kids will love the beauty, sparkle and spirit of the princesses as they come to life on the ice, and let’s be honest, you probably will too.

Tickets for this fanciful event range from $16 to $77 and can be purchased online. Most of the shows start after 6:30 p.m., but there is a 1:30 p.m. performance on the 11th that is perfect for taking your younger children to. Find more information here.

What if you could find enough fun in one place to last all day long?  What if this place was just as fun for adults as it was for children? This ideal exists in Frankie’s Fun Park of Raleigh.

While classic fun activities such as mini golf, batting cages and arcade games are usually at different locations, Frankie’s has combined and upgraded them to form a fun park you simply can’t resist. There are three mini golf courses and tons of great arcade games to choose from at Frankie’s. And the batting cages are designed for batters of all ages and skill levels.

If you’ve got adrenaline in your veins and a need for speed, you’ll have your pick of three tracks to race go-karts on. For friendly combat, you can hop in a bumper boat fully equipped with wildly fun squirt guns. Once you’ve competed with your friends in a bumper boat battle, continue the war with a cool game of laser tag.

Even after enjoying all of these attractions, you still can’t forget about the dynamite drop zone ride for adults or the fun zone and spider web areas designed especially for kids. Frankie’s sounds like a miniature amusement park but doesn’t have amusement park prices. Entry to Frankie’s is free, so you can pick and choose the attractions you want, without paying for those you don’t want.
